Did you know that drones can be used not just for videography but also to create a light show? Come to Busan’s Gwangalli Beach to see more than 300 drones fitted with colourful lights fly in harmony to create images in the sky every Saturday night!

Time: Every Saturday, 8pm & 10pm (Mar to Sep) ⎸ 7pm & 9pm (Oct to Feb)
Location: Gwangalli Beach, Busan

They do light shows based on different themes like ‘Magic’ or ‘Racing Drone’. They even did a light show based on the popular Netflix series ‘Squid Game’ in 2021! Do take note that the show schedule may change according to the COVID-19 situation or bad weather so please check this link for the latest announcements. There will be a lot of people and cars so take public transport to Gwangalli Beach if possible.
Get a good view of the light show by getting a spot just outside Suyeong-gu Cultural Center (click the link to open Naver Maps). If you manage to get a spot there, you can expect to watch the light show with a view like the one in the video below:

Can’t make it to the Gwangalli Drone Show?
Don’t worry because they do live streams of the drone light shows on their YouTube channel but watching on YouTube should be your last resort because honestly, it was a magical experience seeing a few hundred lights dancing in front of your eyes.
